Labs in NC are taking more than a week to give test results because of surges in cases and supply chain issues. That's making it hard to stop the disease.
A new analysis released by the Harvard Global Health Institute and NPR found the level of testing in many states is not adequate enough to curb coronavirus.
Biden’s plan would include federally-funded testing and PPE for all workers called back to their jobs, guaranteed paid sick leave for workers affected by COVID-19, and the creation of a contact tracing jobs program of at least 100,000 workers.
The plan also says that existing testing capacity is sufficient to contain the outbreak so long as tests are distributed properly, even though leading epidemiologists have argued otherwise.
